Tana's uncle Dale wrote the following that he read at her memorial service and also the grave side service.
Tana
A woman of courage, wisdom, and grace
A life well lived in witness and service to the Lord
Her family so loved and blessed by her presence
Sweet songs of music filling the years
She lived out her appointed days full measure
And lives in our hearts forever, a treasure
Tana's uncle visited her at the hospital often and was there daily, even spending the night at the hospital, during her final week here on earth.
Spend time with the ones that you love. Even when it's not convenient.

Thanks for sharing. It was beautiful and a good reflection of Tana and her life.
The Gauers
Yes, Thanks for sharing Tana's beautiful life with all of us.
God had His hand in this from the beginning. I still think about Tana and all of you. May God continue to Bless you all and Have a Blessed Thanksgiving.
p.s. I am thankful for the opportunity to hear about Tana and her beautiful family. In Christ we are forever linked together.
also, Philippians 4:6-7
Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything , by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.
Take care..... Beverly and Keith Horn & Family

Tonight at my new church in Nashville, we had a "Night of Remembrance" for those who have gone on before us. I submitted Tana's name. I just wanted you to know, John, that other brothers and sisters in the faith that you don't even know were lifting you and your boys up tonight.
Peace and blessings,
Lara Loewl
To two wonderful people that I have had the pleasure of knowing through the years. Donna, Harvey, John and kids I want to send you a message that Karrie and I ran across and wanted you to hear, well here goes.....
HEAVENS WINDOW
Now I've crossed the boundary and stand at Heavens gate, Jesus stands beside me,we are talking as we wait.
He says He knows I'll miss you but I will be just fine, for Heaven has a window that spans all space and time.
So on the days when you are sad just know that I'm right here, watching from Heavens window sending you my Love and cheer.
And on those happy days of yours just know I'm happy too, standing next to Heavens window laughing right along with you.
Yes, Heaven has a window that spans all space and time, I'm watching from the window knowing you will be just fine.
This was not written by me, it was written by Debbie Oyler, But you see that God is comforting you through your pain, We love you all and May God continue to Bless and comfort you always.
Love and God Bless, Beverly Horn and Karrie Horn.
Please accept my deepest sympathy. I never met Tana, and knew her only as the ever-helpful and friendly person at the other end of the Selected Readings in General Surgery. I knew nothing of her illness until I read the dedication to her in the latest issue of that publication. But I am glad I at least had the opportunity to thank her when Dr. McClelland retired, and the Selected Readings moved to Chicago. It must be a reflection of her faith and positive outlook that in all her correspondence, she never mentioned her own troubles.
Thanks to you who loved her for sharing her with all the world's surgeons, to whose continuing education she contributed so much.
Jack and I have always felt a beautiful connection with John, Tana, Ryan, and Cody. We met John and Tana in Ft. Worth, we all ended up in Wichita Falls, and then back in the Denton Texas area. We were blessed with an adoption at the same time they were blessed with Ryan. We are saddened by Tana's passing and are still thinking and praying for her family. She was always so happy, beautiful, and positive. We admired her talents and love for Jesus. What an example she set for family and friends!
Love,
Jack and Charlene Simpson
